The Oasis road spins of the Cairo Fayoum road after only a few kilometers. It passes through the October 6th city before it heads southwest to Bahariya. From Bahariya there’s a paved road (and I use the word paved loosely here :)) that heads northwest to Siwa. The main Oasis road continues southwest to Farafra, southeast to Dakhla then east to Kharga. The newly constructed leg of the road continued northeast to Asyut to tie the oasis firmly with the Nile Valley.

The green shade indicates exceptionally beautiful and scenic parts of the roads.

A close-up image of the Nile Valley and the surrounding arid desert around the city of Qena. The Nile, dark blue, runs through the valley like a snake and the rest of the valley is covered in vegetation. The main streets are visible.

Another map showing the road network in Sinai. Yellow indicates paved roads while white indicates dirt roads. Green shading indicates exceptionally beautiful and scenic parts of the roads.

The Suez, Nakhl, Taba road that divides Sinai from east to west is often closed during the rain season because of flash floods.
