Englishman’s House: Built by a retired English officer after WW2. He picked one of the highest and most scenic hills in Bahariya to build his house. He has a clear view of almost the entire oasis. Talk about Location, Location, Location.

Widan El Faras (Horse's ears): These are the remains of the first paved road in history. Built to easily transport basalt across the sand from the quarry (the two mountains in the background resembling a horse’s ears) to the quay near Qasr El Sagha.

Valley of the whales: 40.000 years ago, the ancient Theses Sea covered most of Egypt. Marine fossils can be found almost everywhere in the desert. Perhaps the most amazing are the whales skeletons in the Valley of the Whales. Hidden in the desert sand hundred of kilometers away from the current day sear shore.
