Englishman’s House: Built by a retired English officer after WW2. He picked one of the highest and most scenic hills in Bahariya to build his house. He has a clear view of almost the entire oasis. Talk about Location, Location, Location.

hello ahmed and friends.
allow me to venture and share that the "house" was originally built, by the british army, as an observation point. that was during the Great War, when the light-car-patrol commander Captain Claud Williams, in the course of exploring the northern portions of the wesetrn desert, decided to build such "watching points" to keep an eye on the Sennusis' movement between baharia and fayoum.
